You can't chat with this user because you have blocked him. You can't invite this user because you have blocked him. Posted April 08, I have had some weird problems with Space Rangers 2. The first problem being the intro movie does not play, i can hear the sound but the screen is dead blank. Well i can look past that problem. The other thing is what's really annoying me.

In the training mission where i am to perform some planetary RTS part of the game the game crashes on the loading screen giving me no error message what so ever.

I have looked for a solution for this but i am unable to find a proper fix, though it seems other people are having the same problem. Ive heard rumors about some patches or fixes on other forums but they all lead to some Russian support articles which are not much help at all.

I have tried changing the resolution and graphic options but with no effect. Also there is a pretty long error note in a text document in the game main folder that appeared after the first crash. The game is very interesting so far and i have heard people saying the RTS part of the game is not that great and can be skipped completely if i choose.

But i would much rather be the judge of that myself and be able to play the whole game not just half. No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet.

If you can help, add your reply. The above link does not included the modified "rangers. File is virus-free and tested to be working. One of the best games that I have every played.

Last edited by Darkain ; 1 Dec, am. The HD version is due out in Q1 or something; I'd just wait for that. I'm aware, it is just taking a while. My apologies. The installation steps documented on the readme are in the wrong order. Try overwriting the "Ranges. Then you should be able to run the highres patch.

After succussfuly applying the patch, a new file with be created called "RangersNewRes". You want to click on this file to start the game in high res, not the standard "Rangers. The above instructions work, I am currently playing the game at x I'll have to give it a try once I get home tonight. My resolution is x When using Fixed Files make sure to use a Firewall which controls outgoing traffic, as some games call back to report the use of these modified files!

If you have problems using a trainer in combination with Windows Vista , 7 , 8 or 10 then make sure to run the trainer with Administrator rights and when needed in Windows XP or Windows 98 compatibility mode! Origins File Archive [1. EXE file with the one from the File Archive.
