Sony blu ray player with wifi troubleshooting
It says it's ok in the player too, but the network diagnosis says it cannot connect to the RA server. I've reset everything from my player to the router. Tried refreshing everything and cycling all of the equipment.
There's no updates that I can find as far as with the one button to update the system. Despite Hulu not being updated to their current plus account no matter how many times there's been checks to see. Says everything is up to date. Second player I've bought sony that's basically broken within 2 years. I am also having the same issue. Seems like this is an on going problem since OP is over a year old. All my other devices are working fine. I have tried wifi and hard wired on the player, says it is connected, even reset up the wifi, cannot get any real internet connection.
Hoping the older response that someone said it just start working again after a time will be the case. Otherwise this is the last Sony item I purchase. Any further insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I have 2 s model blu ray players that have the same issue currently.
I am guessing that there is a update needed but there are no available updates on either player at this time. I have walked thtough all of the troubleshooting listed to no avail.
Hopefully this will be resolved soon. Currently experiencing the same problem described. No troubleshooting had succeeded. Need help logging in? Sony Group Site. Sony Professional. Main menu SONY. I have re-entered the wireless settings many times and each time it successfully connects, but it will not connect to the Internet.
It says the Wireless is OK but that the Internet connection has failed. I tested both IPv4 and IPv6 connections via the network diagnostic tool in the settings of the player and both failed. None of the other devices on the network have had any difficulty accessing the Wi-Fi or the Internet, including the sites that the Blu-Ray Player is trying to access like Netflix and Amazon. Nothing has worked.
I have looked into other things like potential DCHP issues and Internet Connection type but can't find anything else that might be a problem. The Blu-Ray player worked fine with the old setup but going back to it isn't really an option.

After giving up, waiting a while and then coming back and starting it up again it now works for whatever reason.
Thank you anyways. Same issue here just 6 days later in NYC Connections okay, internet ok I'll wait and see. So after 10 minutes without doing anything, I re-tried and all is well. Thank you to the person who said that it was a Sony network server issue There was definitely nothing wrong on my end It's been going on for over a WEEK now.
It's connected to the internet, but when I click on Netflix of Youtube or any of the video apps, it hangs on "Connecting to internet video service The process timed out because the server could not be accessed. We've tried refreshing everything and cycling all of the equipment. There's no updates to download. I suspect there's a problem with SONY's servers, not my internet set-up. We've been patient, giving it over a week for Sony to resolve the issue.
