The message is only triggered by a program running on your machine. Thanx Reply. Looks like it IS possible to turn off this annoying feature, but not easy.

The problem with outlook message was fixed by this, thanks very much Brian Reply. I have an easier fix. This warning message is displayed when a program tries to access your Outlook client to send an email message on your behalf, and your antivirus software is detected to be inactive or out-of-date.
View the Antivirus status that's listed in this window. If the status is anything other than Valid , follow the appropriate steps to enable your antivirus program, or update your antivirus program as necessary.
Select the option that you prefer. If you want to stop these warning messages permanently, select the Never warn me about suspicious activity not recommended option. If these options are not available, exit Outlook, and then start Outlook again in elevated mode. To do this, type Outlook on the desktop or in the Start Search box, right-click the Microsoft Outlook search result, select Properties , select the Compatibility tab, and then select Run this program as an administrator.

Is a coupples of days that I have this weird problem here with my OutlookXP. When I go to compose a new email and click over the New button, I get a popup telling that A program is trying to access your Address Book and if I want it to let it manage my address book and for how much time.
Why am I having this thing now? I have found on the net some ways to bypass this popup without solving the problem. Can someone help? Thank you. I think I found the problem myself. To remoove this toolbar it must be made a Windows registry mod.
This will stop the Acrobat bar from loading and seemed to solve the problem. Feb 12, , AM. Congratulations on finding it yourself. It is not a "stand alone" scan, but needs to be run. All 3 of the above programs run better and much faster when run in SafeMode. To get into SafeMode: Re-boot the computer, and immediately after starting up, Press and hold down, F8, at top of keypad.
When the options show on the screen, use the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to select "Safe Mode". Press Enter It's best to run the AdAware scan first; 3 times; then re-boot. Then, run the AdAware scan again 3 times; then run the SpyBot. Then, run CWShredder. Re- Boot. Reason for running so many times: Some of these trojans' files can be deleted the first time; leaving some others; but on re-boot, they re-write the files that were deleted.
Running multiple times deletes most of it the first Time. Feb 15, , AM. Thank you very much for the info. Apr 14, , PM. Hi Pirata, Thank you very much for your info. It works for me.
